FAQ

Q:

What makes Barbarian Performance different from other athletic training facilities or coaches?

A:

Our experience and network of professionals set us apart from others. Please visit the About page for more in-depth details.

Q:

Can I still train with you if I’m not an athlete?

A:

An athlete can be defined in many ways. Whether you are a professional athlete or someone with any physical goal, Barbarian Performance will help.

Q:

Is any of your training available remotely?

A:

Yes. Digital training and remote support can be provided through custom programming. In the future we will also provide additional online training options.

Q:

Do you provide skills training?

A:

No. Barbarian Performance enhances the raw ingredients of athleticism to deliver better athletes for their sport coaches.

Q:

I have a team of players that need training, can you coach them in group sessions?

A:

Yes. Keep in mind our max capacity is 4 athletes per group session.

Q:

My group size is larger than 4, can I make special arrangements for training?

A:

Yes. There can be special accommodations provided such as training entire teams or traveling to team facilities.

Q:

What kind of sports athletes have you coached?

A:

Barbarian Performance has over 14 years of training experience. Football, hockey, soccer, lacrosse, track & field, baseball, softball, basketball, rugby, golf, crossfit, swimming & diving, and endurance athletes are all sports we have worked with, from record holders all the way down to youth club teams.

Q:

Can I still get training if I have an injury?

A:

Yes. This is a very important element of injury recovery. Inactivity is one of the biggest mistakes many people make when they are recovering from an injury. Barbarian Performance has a network of medical professionals who work in conjunction with us, so that individual athletes may get the exact training they need in a safe, ethical, efficient, and effective way. Please remember to disclose injuries at the time of booking your training.

Q:

Do you offer nutrition coaching?

A:

With 9 years of nutrition coaching for NFL Combine athletes, Barbarian Performance can offer individual consultations and guidance as far as proper fueling for performance. Although, if the need is specific nutrition programming, Barbarian Performance has a network of qualified medical and sports nutrition specialists to refer for more robust options.

Q:

What is your cancellation policy?

A:

In order for athletes to get the absolute most value from training we want to make sure that they attend their booked sessions. By missing training sessions in your programming, progress and improvements become more limited because there is a lack of consistency. We will always do our best to work together to accommodate a reschedule, but consistent "No Show" or back to back cancellations will need to be addressed more strictly.

- If you need to cancel your appointment, please provide a 24-hour advance notice
- If you do not cancel within the 24-hour window before your appointment or "No Show" your appointment, you may be forfeiting your session for that day and may not be issued a session refund or reschedule option
- If you need to cancel during non-business hours, please text or send us an email. However, if it is not within the 24-hour window, the same policy enforcement applies as above

Q:

Can I reschedule a session from a multi-day package?

A:

Of course! Please provide 24 hour notice by email or text and then we can work together in order to find the correct makeup session.

Q:

Are you available for educational sessions, conferences, or seminars?

A:

Yes. Fitness, coaching and sports education is equally important to athletic programs. I’ve had the opportunity to provide coaching education for international Olympic committees and am open to providing this and other educational services to others. Please complete the form at the bottom of the site to inquire.
